Meet Chef Rene
and BLACKBERRY SOUL FINE CATERING
Blackberry Soul started in a garden. Chef Rene’s grandmother cooked everything fresh, from peaches off the tree to blackberries the grandkids picked by hand. That care is where the food and the name both come from. She left a career in finance to cook full time and built Blackberry Soul around her Soul Fusion style: the soul of traditional Southern food, lightened with fresh, organic California ingredients.
Her work has reached corporate events, civic gatherings, cultural celebrations, and major Bay Area institutions.
She has been featured by Forbes, Business Insider, EBONY, KTLA, KRON 4, TasteTV, NBC Bay Area, and CBS Bay Area. She was named Powerful Women of the Bay Entrepreneur of the Year and is the author of the celebrated cookbook From My Heart to Your Table.
